In the 10th-century Byzantine manuscript, Periplus of the Erythraean Sea, many places and trade goods are described, among them is LAKKOS CHROMATINOS, an object that remains unknown to this day. The word Lakkos has not appeared in any ancient Greek or Roman literature. The Periplus was also known to have many grammatical mistakes, so the mystery continues. What is Lakkos Chromatinos? Is it a musical instrument? A color? A weapon? An ancient sex toy? We will never know. As of right now, it is the latest Rafael de Toledo Pedroso álbum.

Rafael de Toledo Pedroso is a brazilian musician, focusing on experimental hip-hop, weirdo electronics and wonky ballads. Lakkos Chromatinos are ten tracks about the unknown, in every known way. The known-unknown. Fusing a garage mindset with digital approach, the project is as diverse and authentic as the trade goods in the old Periplus of the Erythraean Sea.

Rafael de Toledo Pedroso is also known as the creator of the noise project deus1 and for using the monikers heche, DJ Pai Ausente and Summer 2015 besides variations of his own name. He's been working on and releasing a diverse musical catalogue since 2011. Currently can be found around Paraná, Brasil.
