TQN-aut is proud to present TERRITORIAL GOBBING VS DEREK PIOTR. A collaboration between two prolific artists working in the fields of noise, dada, broken pedals and the human voice.

Territorial Gobbing is a Leeds based incompetent STUPID music generator; wrangling tapes, contact mics, broken pedals, wave generators and whatever else is to hand into high speed dada cutup nonsense. The noisy improvisations of Territorial Gobbing a.k.a. Theo Gowans began in or around 2018 and have spawned some 60 albums - 250 under various guises. His HEINOUS WHINING livestreams have been a highlight of the experimental, "no audience" online scene that has flourished during lockdown restrictions and his performance for TUSK VIRTUAL 2020 was a typically entertaining, unforgettable mess of sound, "fun" and generous amounts of chicken wire.

Derek Piotr is a Polish-born sound artist, vocalist, and composer, whose work focuses primarily on the human voice and covers genres including glitch, leftfield pop, chamber, dance and drone. He has collaborated with artists including Richard Chartier, Don't DJ and Thomas Brinkmann. His work was nominated by the jury for the Prix Ars Electronica (2012).

Recorded September 2020 through remote sound exchange. Derek provides stretched drones and vocal cutup to be eroded and scuffed while T Gobbers sends dictaphone twists of old tape releases to be polished up to a sinister sheen. Everything coming together suspiciously well.

TERRITORIAL GOBBING VS DEREK PIOTR, the duo's first collaboration album, and the first release for either artist on the TQN-aut label, is a remarkable and unmissable achievement.
